Pack heat if you crash here. Host Sarah is an obvious outsider looking for quick illegal bucks. Maxwell St. is a high-crime area. $150/night and enjoy the mini frig. Oh, and the $5.00 ipa beers (POUR it back in the horse!), when you can drink high-quality Heineken lager beer (yum tasty!) for $1 apiece, compliments of the local grocery store. (Well, I do enjoy IPA beer but not for $5 for a 12-oz. glass- plus tip)

This property should be rated as EXTREMELY POOR, and it was not up standards we have experienced from VRBO in the past. The house was in an abominable condition upon our arrival. All the carpets were dirty and spotted. All HVAC vents needed cleaning. There was trash behind beds in bedrooms. The refrigerator water filter needed replacing. The rear porch had to be cleaned before using. The upstairs bath did not have wash cloths and there was no shower soap in any bathroom. This situation was disappointing to us and has created reluctance to use VRBO in the future.

Owner’s Response: What a sad review. It is interesting that all of the other reviews on this house are 5 stars over the last year. I was never informed of any problems during this stay. We have had VRBO’s in 5 properties for over 5 yrs all with 5 star reviews. Sorry the property did not meet your standards.
